China Clio Cup: Clio III The New Benchmark Launched at Geneva Motor Show

Renault launched the Clio III at the yearly premiere in automobile industry ----the Geneva Motor Show on March 10 (Swiss time). Being proud of its heritage, Renault Clio III is bringing the renewed styling and GT version. The compact Renault has had a racy makeover—new front end, redesigned rear lights and reworked interior. On top of the racy makeover, Renault Sport Technologies (RST) engineers will do modifications to the China Clio Cup fleet and make the fleet to be exclusively for track racing. China Clio Cup vehicles are faithfully derived from the production version and slightly modified for one make track racing, it is meant to be efficient, fun to drive and cost-effective. That is exactly why the China Clio Cup series is able to offer an unrivalled price-to-performance ratio in the hatchback sports market.

Loved by fans and drivers, the Clio Cup series is known for its action-packed racing. The 2009 season marks the 19th consecutive year of Renault Clio's involvement in world motorsport with one-make series. As of 2008, Clio Cup series has been expanded to 14 countries in Europe and Latin America.

China Clio Cup, the new Chinese series in FRD's line-up, is going to have its first race on the famous Le Mans Bugatti track in 6 weeks using a fleet of the newly launched Clio III at Geneva Motor Show.
