First FRD Touring car PTP held at ZIC

After many successful PTP courses at Zhuhai International Circuit in 2009, FRD held its very first touring car PTP today. Tengyi Jiang, the former A1 driver, was the instructor.

FRD's touring car PTP uses Ford Focus racing cars. Sharing the same roots with the race cars currently being used in the highly competitive CTCC 2000cc Changan Ford Racing team, the Ford Focus are modified from their street car form with a full race conversion. Changes include Pirelli tires, a full set safety system, an advanced braking system and race shock absorbers. The Focus racing car is an excellent design and a great starting point for race enthusiasts. During the 2-day course, thanks to individual attention students have more than enough time to communicate with the instructor, learn the race line & driving skills through hands-on instruction, and increase familiarity with the circuit.

FRD's PTP is a new one-on-one program designed for race car enthusiasts and professional drivers. Based on the more than 10 years' instructing experience, FRD launched the PTP program to ensure that students don't need to wait long periods for track booking or share the instructor's attention with a dozen other students. PTP drivers are also able to enjoy enough on-track time with his/her personal instructor. FRD has various levels of programs and race cars that are suitable for any level. You may start to get familiar with the track in Ford Focus racing cars, then have a first taste of formula vehicles in FRD's Formula Campus race cars; when you are ready to move it to the next level, FRD can provide you with an advanced racing car --- FR 2.0.
