ET.CHINA AGT Masters brought excellent show to C1

The Challenge Show (C1) was held at Shanghai International Circuit this weekend, with E.T. China AGT Masters as one of the most eye catching races of the event with nine Ferraris on the track. Major focus was placed on Hong Kong drivers Oliver Lee and Paul Poon with their previous steady performance in the GT races. Moreover, superstar Aaron Kwok also participated in both the GT race and Clio China Cup Series this weekend.

Saturday Qualifying

The qualifying session started sharp at 1:40pm and Hong Kong Driver Oliver Lee, with his white Ferrari F430 GT3, performed his best time in his 5 th lap at 1:54.386. Another Hong Kong driver, Paul Poon, also performed well with his best time at 1:55.134. Samson Fung, Yu Kam Cheong and Bryon Tong came 3 rd , 4 th and 5 th respectively. Meanwhile, Aaron Kwok set a 2:00.709 in his F360 in his very first qualifying session in this championship. The only female driver, Zhang Ran, didn't compete in the qualifying session due to technical issues.

Sunday Race

The 1 st round took place in the morning, with pole sitter Lee getting off to a good start yet losing control of the car and running off the track at T1. As a result, Samson Fung moved into the lead with Paul Poon in 2 nd . Zhang Ran failed to finish the race due to a brake issue. The major focus of the race was on Poon and Fung, with Poon managing to overtake Fung by the end of the race for the winner's trophy. Oliver Lee managed to move up to 3 rd by the end of the race.

The 2 nd round started in the afternoon, with Zhang Ran retiring from the race and celebrity driver Aaron Kwok joining the competition. Lee started from the 2 nd row and managed to overtake the leading cars and confirm a clear lead by lap 5. Poon spun at a hairpin corner and enabled Samson Fung to move up to 2 nd . Aaron Kwok did a good job by finishing 4 th in his F360.

C1 race weekend will travel to Chengdu on September 12 th and 13 th . ET.CHINA AGT Masters will travel along with C1 for its next two rounds, and is sure to bring an excellent show to race fans in Chengdu.
