Together with Mr. Jet Li's “One-Foundation” C1 brought another meaningful event to Chengdu

After a very successful event at Shanghai International Circuit last month, the Challenge Show (C1) traveled to Chengdu, Si Chuan province last weekend, September 12th-13th, with Mr. Jet Li's “One-Foundation” and a team of artists. Formula Racing Development Ltd (FRD) conveyed its concern and brought a brilliant weekend show in support of the “May 12th Wen Chuan earthquake” victims. The event sent an important message through our artists that the “Sichuan Rebuild” doesn't happen overnight, but needs long-term attention from the public. Mr. Jet Li (the founder of One Foundation) and FRD President Kenneth Ma both indicated that they were happy to be part of this charity event. Mr. Jet Li said: “Charity is our career and it needs constant attention from everyone”. Mr. Jet Li indicated: ”Actually, charity doesn't ask much from us, it's an accumulation of little bits. We are just collecting the little bits and providing to those in need.” FRD donated 500,000 RMB to the One Foundation to assist the victims of the Wen Chuan earthquake after the race.

Other than the signature Celebrity Charity race, C1 also featured Asian Formula Renault (AFR), Ford Formula Campus championship (FFC), Clio Cup China series and ET.CHINA AGT Masters. The celebrity charity event also brought a group of artists to Chengdu: team leader Mr. Jet Li, Anita Yuen as the children leader, Aaron Kwok, Athena Chu, Jordan Chan, Ka Lok Chin, Carlo Ng, San San Lee, Wu Jing, Hong Ying etc. The top 3 finishers of the celebrity race in the male class were Aaron Kwok, Carlo Ng and Ka Lok Chin, respectively. In the female class, Chen Juan Hong and San San Lee captured 1st and 2nd. Emme Wong, who joined the race for the first time, finished 3rd. INTERCONTINENTAL CENTURY CITY CHENGDU acted as the official hotel partner of the celebrity race in Chengdu and showed the artists the charm of the city.

Kenneth Ma, President of FRD, indicated that he is very happy to hold a meaningful charity event like C1 every year: “Working with the One-Foundation, Mr. Jet Li and a group of artists certainly bring a good impact to the public. I agree with Mr. Jet Li's ‘a little per month' idea, to make charity a habit, and I believe this is one of the reasons that FRD and the One-Foundation have been able to cooperate well for so many years.”
