Oh Sui Leung Cup Celebrity Race - Shanghai 8/27/2006
Organization & Background
- Shanghai International Circuit (SIC) and Formula Racing Development Ltd. (FRD) has been organizing a special annual celebrity racing event to raise funds for Charity organizations
- In the past, over RMB 4,000,000 has been raised through this Charity race event.
- It is our wish to continue holding this event so more funds can be raised for the needed.
2006 Celebrity Race
- The 2006 race has been named Oh Sui Leung Cup Celebrity race – to remember the contribution made by the famous stuntman and artist.
- Famous artists Alan Tam, Eric Tsang (Hong Kong), Jacky Wu (Taiwan), and Sun Nan (China)have been invited to be the team leaders of the race.
- They will invite other famous artists from their respective regions joining the race. Based on the influence of these artists, it is almost guaranteed that the 30 other artists will be a group with huge impact.

Date & Venue
- The 2006 race is tentatively scheduled for August 27, 2006.
- The race will be held at the Shanghai International Circuit (SIC)
- Located approximately 60 Km from downtown Shanghai
- Venue of the annual F1 & MotoGP races in China
- Capacity of the main Grand stand – 40,00
Equipment
- For 2006, we are happy to announce that we have received the support from Changan Ford to provide a fleet of Focus vehicles for this event.
- These race cars’ appearance and safety installation are similar to the race cars that currently competing in the 2006 CCC 2000cc series.
Race Schedule
- August 26th, 2006 Saturday – one practice session – approximately 30-45 minutes
- August 27th, 2006 Sunday – Race – 6 laps approximately 30 minutes
- Official time table will be released as soon as it becomes available.
Race Format
A draw will be used for the car selection and the determination of starting grid position. One male and one female artist will be paired to form 15 teams. Each artist will drive three laps during the race. At the same time, FRD will solicit 15 experience race drivers’ service to act as co-drivers for the teams.
Prizes
For this race, there will be three race categories; individual, team and region.
