C1 is a popular racing event organized and promoted by FRD. C1 weekends include various touring, formula, endurance and GT car race events, as well as a feature celebrity charity race. For many years, FRD has been the only race promoter trying to encourage charity activities by combining the charisma of celebrities with the excitement of motor racing.

In 2004 and 2005, FRD brought C1 to the brand new Shanghai International F1 Circuit. Jackie Chan, the famous international star, acted as the celebrity team captain. The two events generated over four million RMB for the China Charity Foundation. In 2006, FRD joined forces with Changan Ford to hold three separate celebrity races in Shanghai and Zhuhai.

Beginning in 2007, FRD started working with the One Foundation. The founder of the One Foundation, Jet Li, became the honorary celebrity team captain. The May 2008 celebrity race had exceptional meaning by generating funds to assist the unfortunate “May 12, Wenchuan earthquake” victims.

During the 2009 season the C1 event traveled back to Shanghai International Circuit in August, gathering the brilliance of five different races and about 20,000 spectators enjoying the live show. In September, C1, along with Mr. Jet Lee and his “One Foundation” as well as a group of artists, traveled to Chengdu International Circuit for the first time and brought love & care to the “Wenchuan earthquake” victims. After the season was finished, C1 was crowned the Best Race Event of the year during the China Autosport Awards' ceremony, further supporting evidence of C1's social impact.

In 2010, C1 will continue to work with Mr. Jet Li's One Foundation to bring more excitement to the fans.
