Samson Chan Became the Biggest Winner In Asian GT Series R3

        One of the Ginetta pilot Samson Chan had taken victory at Malaysia Sepang International Circuit during Race 2 of the Asian GT Series last weekend. Philip Ma and Eric Lo respectively as the first runner-up and second runner-up stood on the podium.



Qualifying—Samson Chan gained his first pole position


       Samson Chan took pole position of Round 3 of the AGT, he recorded a time of 2:11:722 in his Ginetta G50Z just edge out Philip Ma who drove the Audi R8 LMS. Because AGT raced together the Malaysia Super Series (MSS), the recorded from Samson Chan also made him into the second grid position in MSS.



Race—Samson Chan triumph's in action packed AGT


       From the start Philip Ma fought for the lead with pole sitter Samson Chan with both circulating under the lap record. After the 10 laps race, Samson Chan crossed the finished line only 0.5s faster than Philip Ma.


       Eric Lo who started on 4th position was just behind the lead position battle, keeping a certain distance with Philip Ma. Shaun Thong chased Eric Lo during the whole race, but he cannot get closer. Finally, Eric Lo gained the second runner up, following by Shaun Thong.



        Frank Yu started at the back, but he kept pushing from the beginning, hoped to get a better position as soon as possible. However after he overtook more than 10 cars, he was stuck in the traffic and lost a lot of time; as a result he finished just behind Shaun Thong.


        After the race, both Samson Chan and Philip Ma showed highly respect for each other, they both agreed that a good competitor made the race more fun. After three rounds of AGT, Samson Chan now has 74 points on the driver point table, only 3 points ahead of Philip Ma; Frank Yu has 69 points on third.
