Asia’s newest prototype series, the FRD LMP3 series, has newly appointed German Jürgen Barth as Race Director, effective immediately.
Jürgen Barth is a German engineer and a former racecar driver. He is the son of Formula One driver and sports car racer Edgar Barth.Barth started out as an engineer but became one of the most successful drivers in sports car racing. He won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1977 in a Porsche 936, with Jacky Ickx and Hurley Haywood, and in 1980 he won the 1000 km Nürburgring with Rolf Stommelen.

Jürgen’s experience is remarkable and his reputation in motorsport is also giving us confident that he will bring positive influence to the FRD LMP3 Series teams.”
As a Team Manager, engineer and Le Mans winning driver, Jürgen Barth will definitely be another key person in the series to help bringing FRD LMP3 Series to a higher level.
