(Shanghai, China - September 4, 2005)Just like yesterday at the Shanghai International Circuit, Team Wonderlife scored a perfect race with a win and 2nd place by drivers Chen Xu and Song Ge.Third on the podium was Geoffrey Kwong for the Sparco Team.Superstar Chin, Ka Lok who finished 3rd yesterday for the Perfect Beauty Team was as high as 2nd place, but then could not keep the other drivers behind him.
Earlier in the morning all the China Formula Campus drivers took part in a 15min Warm Up session to make sure their cars were ready for the race.Thanks to FRD Motorsports’ long-term experience in motor racing, everyone at the Warm Up finished the session with out a single problem.
When the race started in the morning, it was Chen Xu that took the lead and kept it the whole way.Even though it was 10 am, Chin, Ka Lok was wide-awake and took advantage of it.He jumped up from 3rd to 2nd on the first lap.
Behind him on the second lap were Alexandra of Team Indonesia Incorporated Racing, Song Ge, and Sparco teammates Kwong and Frank Yee.
On Lap 3 Alexandra had a bit of a spin and then there was contact between her and Frank Yee.Both cars were damaged bad enough that they could not continue.
Half way through the race it was Chen Xu with a big lead and Song Ge behind with a damaged front wing after some aggressive racing.Behind him was Kwong, Xu Jia from Team Giant, Chia On of the East Shanghai Team and Chin, Ka Lok.Right behind Chin, Ka Lok was Benny Kok and Edward Erlandson.They had quite the fight amongst themselves, sometimes going into Turn 1 with out braking and having only centimeters between each other.
At the end of the race the order was the almost the same.Xu Jia fell back a couple of spots from 3rd to finish 5th, and Erlandson moved up one spot to finish 7th after starting from the back.
FRD Motorsports, the Asian Motorsports Pioneer will hold the next two rounds of the China Formula Campus Series at the Beijing Goldenport racetrack end of this month.Chen Xu has won all 4 races of the China Formula Campus Series so far.Could someone put an end to this winning streak?Come to Beijing on September 23 – 25 to see for yourself.
