(Zhuhai, China ¨C December 03, 2005) After several months of planning and waiting, Twenty Four guests working for BMW UK finally arrived at FRD Motorsports in Zhuhai to do some high speed riding, driving, and even racing.Even though some of these guests had never driven a racing car before, FRD Motorsports, the Asian Motorsports Pioneer, made it possible for each and every guest to feel and experience all the thrills of motorsports first hand.
This special day was in fact a gift from BMW for some of the top sales people in the United Kingdom.They spent a few days in Hong Kong before coming to Zhuhai for their day of racing.This day was the last day for them in Asia, and it was also kept a surprise!The guests did not have a clue till their bus turned into the Zhuhai International Circuit.
The Track Day was custom designed to offer 3 different activities.Each guest would participate in all three by the end of the day.The first activity was the High Speed Passenger Rides in two different types or cars, a Renault Spider and a Japanese Racing Toyota Altezza.FRD¡¯s own Test Driver / Chief Instructor Vinay Basavaraja was the driver for one of these cars.The next activity was driving the Formula Campus.These are in fact the exact same cars used for the China Formula Campus Championship, not a specially detuned car for students.The third and final activity was the racing.This was done with specially designed Racing Karts at the magnificent 1 km long ZIC Karting Circuit.Like a real professional race, each guest drove one Practice session, one Qualifying session and one Race.

To fit all three activities into one day takes some precise timing and organization; this is where FRD excels.The scheduled was planned to allow the guests maximum driving time, and an absolute minimum of sit down classroom time.With Vinay¡¯s extraordinary skill in teaching students and organizing track days, the students spent less than 20 minutes through out the day in the classroom.This is what people want, and this is what FRD Motorsports provides!
At the end of the day, all the guests received a Certificate from FRD during the awards ceremony.If that were not enough, the top three in each Kart Race also got prizes for coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.The guests later commented about how exciting the day was, one of the greatest thrills of their life.Not only did they get to race wheel to wheel with their colleges, but they also drove a real Single Seat Racecars by themselves, and had their minds blown away during the passenger ride seeing just how fast professional driver Vinay Basavaraja could take them around the track.Everyone was happy at the end of the day, except for the fact that they had to leave!Special thanks goes to Event Clicks for arranging the whole travel arrangement for the guests.
