Golden week Racing Carnival

(Beijing, China - October 04, 2005)Today marked the opening of a brand new type of tourist attraction at the Shanghai F-1 Circuit. During the Oct 1st Golden week, the Shanghai International Circuit conducted an event called “Golden week Racing Carnival”. Tourists, disregard their driving experience, can participate in Passenger Rides program where they can sit inside a race car and ride around the absolutely same track where Formula One drivers compete.

During the Golden week for Oct 1st, FRD Motorsports provided 2 Formula Renaults, 3Altezza touring cars, 2 Renault Spider sports cars and a motorcycle for the show. Stunt performance driving was provided by Asian Formula Renault Champion and driving instructor of FRD, Hideaki Nakao. In addition, FRD also invited Macs Hirose, the stunt man who worked in the movie《Initial D》and James Dawson who is fantastic performing with his motorcycle, to participate in the show.

The performance includes car drifting, tire burns, and high-speed crossing. When the cars completed the performance and back in the pit Area, a lot of visitors surrounded the race cars rapidly and tried to be the first in line taking photographs and getting the autographs of the drivers.

If you want to experience the speed and excitement of China’s first circuit holding a F1 race, make sure you pay attention to future similar events organized by SIC and FRD.
