Changan Ford Racing Young driver entered in IFC

As part of the FRD driver development program, two Young drivers, Rainey He and Xiaolong Zuo, who are driving for the Changan Ford Racing team in the CCC, have been entered in IFC race during the August 12 C1 race weekend in Shanghai. This IFC racing opportunity offered to Rainey and Xiaolong is intended to allow them to gain more on-track experience.

Changan Ford Racing is a race team operated by FRD will full backing coming from Changan Ford Mazda automotive Co. CFMA also makes the young driver development program an integral part of its motor racing strategy and its contribution to motor racing in China.


Rainey He, the second runner-up of the 2006 CCC 1600 class Championship and Zuo Xiaolong, an eighteen years old Formula Campus Driver in 2006, were selected to join the Changan Ford Racing Team because of the driving technique, potential, and very importantly, their altitude towards the sports and as a driver.

Paul Hui, FRD's program director of the Changan Ford project indicates that "FRD and will continue to seek possible racing opportunities for their young drivers allowing them to grow and hopefully one day will gain glory for their country. More training projects are in the work. I am sure what we are doing will also receive the full approval from CFMA, our racing partner"
