Changan Ford's Young Driver Program has made another major step demonstrating to the public concerning its commitment to contribute to the young driver development in China . Zuo Xiaolong, the young driver who drove in the CCC Changan Ford Championship team last year, on top of continuing to compete for the Changan Ford Racing Team in the 2008 CCC 2000cc class, will be given a full sponsored seat in this year's AFR series. The first race of this year's AFR will be the anchoring race of the March 16 Pan Delta event in Zhuhai.

Paul Hui, Marketing Director of FRD and Program Director of FRD's Changan Ford Project, indicates that providing the additional track time would greatly enhance Xiaolong's field experience and accelerate his progression through the system. Pekka Saarinen , Champion of 2006 and 2007 AFR series will be personally coaching Xiaolong during the 2008 season.

On another note, the first Ford Formula Campus race will be conducted during the second race of the CCC schedule in Beijing . A training Camp will be provided to a group of young drivers in the near future. One of the Chinese drivers coming out from the 2008 Ford Formula Campus will receive a free seat in the 2009 AFR series following X iaolong's foot step. This is going to be a great motivation for this group of young drivers.
