After a long term of expecting, C1 came back to SIC on May 25, 2008. AFR is the major race of C1. Known as one of the top formula races in Asia , AFR definitely draws much attention and it indeed presented to us a spectacular race today.

Currently, Geoffrey KWONG (PSR) occupies the top spot of the AFR point table. Cao Hong Wei (PSR), a 15 years old young driver from Hunan province, has been going through much progress during the last few months. Another driver worth mentioning is Luis Jorge from Angola . He did very well in free practice and qualifying. Rainy He and Ben Zuo, 2 top touring car racers from CCC, are also participating AFR this time.

The competition of the 5 th round was very intensive. Pole sitter Geoffrey KWONG (PSR) won the race in this round. Luis Jorge and Jim Ka To (Frestech FRD Team) captured 2 nd and 3 rd respectively. Geoffrey KWONG started smoothly, Luis and Jim Ka To followed him from the very beginning to the end. Cao Hong Wei finished 4 th , he fell behind due to some minor mistakes. Among those two top touring car drivers, Ben Zuo, who has been driving Karts for a long time, captured a convincing 6 th . Being lack of experience is the major problem that Ben Zuo is facing. To him, putting more effort is the only way out for now. Rainy He, with less Formula experience comparing to Ben, was taking a cautious approach aiming to finish the race.

The 6 th round was held in the afternoon, it was even more competitive than the 5 th . Jim Ka To (Frestech FRD Team) won the race, while Geoffrey KWONG (PSR) and Cao Hong Wei (PSR) captured 2 nd and 3 rd respectively. Pole sitter Geoffrey KWONG was over took by Jim Ka To right after the race was started. Cao Hong Wei caught up and made it to the top3. AFR has only 10 laps in each round, thus it doesn't allow any kind of mistake. Drivers could never be too careful in AFR.

AFR put on a spectacular racing in SIC today. Let's count on the next round in Sepang in June.
