With "Frestech Pan Delta Super Racing Festival" moving into its 4th year of operation, the newly joined race, "Asian GT Championship" has also gained popularity. From a mere 7 cars last year to almost triple that number now, the race has grown from strength to strength.
2008 Frestech Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Autumn race is almost upon us. There will be 17 drivers competing in the Asian GT Championship, among them former Asian Formula Renault driver Francis Tija and Israeli veteran Eitan Zidkilov. It is believed that their participation will add more excitement to the races.
The race will comprise of Ferrari 360, 430 series, Porsche GT3 996, 997 series, Chevrolet C6/Z06 series; with a total of 17 cars, this race is as spectacular as the FIA GT Championship. The Asian GT Championship will surely turn a new leaf in GT racing in China!
How can anyone miss such an exceptional race event? Maybe it is due to the above reasons, the Asian GT Championship has attracted sponsorship from ET China for 2008 and 2009. This year, ET China is the title sponsor for the race in Zhuhai, further proving that the race is a crowd puller.
In 2009, the Asian GT Championship will be renamed as "Asian GT Masters", the five round race series will be held at Zhuhai International Circuit, Shanghai International Circuit and Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. ET China will travel with the cars around Asia as the title sponsor. This is the first race sponsor confirmed for the 2009 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival.
