Ford Focus Cup race 2 started in Chengdu International Circuit on November 27 and Lang Tao Wang continued his winning streak and won the race. Bian Jin and Hong Jun Liu captured 2 nd and 3 rd respectively.
Wen Bin Du was the 2 nd in qualifying and he did a good job during practice in the morning. Unfortunately, Wen Bin Du jumped the start and had to take a 30-second penalty. Although he was 2 nd passing the finishing line but after the penalty, he was dropped to 5 th in the end.
Lang Tao Wang had a good start and generated the fastest lap after only one lap (2:03.666). In lap 2, Hong Jun Liu missed the brake point when entering the first corner and was overtaken by Bian Jin.
Lang Tao Wang led the race since the very beginning and was followed very closely by Wen Bin Du throughout the 10-lap race. Due to Wen Bin Du's 30 seconds penalty, Hong Jun Liu, who was the 4 th became 3 rd .
Lang Tao Wang, Bian Jin and Hong Jun Liu all indicated that FRD did a good job on the car setup and they also indicated that thanks to the platform provided by Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Ltd, they had a better understanding towards car racing—the track is the only safe place for car race.
The last race of Ford Focus Cup will be held in Shanghai TMS on December 12 th & 13 th . Let's count on a good fight from Ford Focus Cup drivers!
