The China Touring Car Championship (CTCC former CCC) is having its opening race in Shanghai International Circuit (SIC) this weekend. In order to conform to new regulations for 2009, FRD lowered the rpm limit to 8000. In addition, braking and cornering performance have been enhanced with larger brake discs (330mm) and wider tires. Ford driver said:¡±The team spent four days at Zhuhai International Circuit to test the tyres. Kumho tire sent a group of people and designed different sets of tyres based on drivers' driving styles and possible track conditions.¡± The drivers also indicated that the usage of tires will be the decisive factors for the first race.
