After the formation lap, Paul Poon's car experienced mechanical issues and he had to return to pit lane. It was apparent even after he returned to the track that the problem was still there, forcing him to retire after five laps. Frank Yu led the race for the first four laps with Oliver Lee and Kenneth Ma following very closely behind. Yu's car had a spin when passing in T1 during lap 5, relinquishing the lead to his teammate Oliver Lee. When Frank Yu rejoined the competition the race was led by Lee, Ma and Samson Fung. In lap 9, Kenneth Ma overtook Lee at T6. Lee, on the other hand, followed Ma very aggressively for an entire lap and took back the lead on the straight. The only female driver, Ran Zhang, had a good start and managed to overtake two cars at the end of the front straight. When she finished lap 1 she overtook a Ferrari 360 and became leader of her own class at that point (class SR3). Unfortunately, she retired from the race in lap 5 when trying to brake deep into T1, spinning off the track. In the end, Oliver Lee won the race with 1.355 second lead and was winner of GT3 class. Kenneth Ma (FRD racing team) and Samson Fung (PaSa racing) finished 2 nd and 3 rd in the GT3 class, respectively. In class A, Andrew Luk took the winner's trophy while Byron Tong, who had his first ever race this weekend, was 2 nd . Frank Yee was again the winner of class SR3.
