Clio Cup China series travels to Chengdu Aaron Kwok is in the leading group

After a very successful debut race in Challenge Show at Shanghai International Circuit in late August, the Clio Cup China series will travel to Chengdu, Sichuan province and continue to bring excellent show to C1 racing weekend on 12 th -13 th , September. The international super star Aaron Kwok will continue his good performance in the series.

 

August race was the debut race of Clio Cup China series in Mainland China. Paul Poon got double wins and he is now leading the series in points. Aaron Kwok, the Hong Kong celebrity driver who hasn't raced for quite a while, finished the weekend with two podiums and is now 2 nd in points. Oliver Lee, another very fast driver from Hong Kong, is 3 rd . Stephen Chau, Alexander Lin and Kenneth Ma are 4 th , 5 th and 6 th , respectively. The Chengdu track is a technical one and the 800 meters' long front straight will allow Clio racing cars to go very fast and the spectators will surely enjoy a fantastic show this weekend.

Clio Cup China is another hot race that was invited to China by FRD. Clio Cup series has a very long history in Europe and the new series in China uses Clio III, the new model which was launched by Renault in 2009. This new race model draws much attention from professional race drivers and many drivers indicated that they would like to join the series next season.
