2009 is a very rewarding year to FRD. FRD's signature race event Challenge Show (C1) successfully finished its' 6 th brilliant season with one event being held in Shanghai International Circuit (SIC) and one in Chengdu International Circuit (CDIC) in 2009. The Shanghai event received massive support from SIC and local government and the event attracted almost 20,000 spectators. FRD's major races and the professional drivers put up a spectacular show for the race fans. The Chengdu event was held in September. Other than FRD's professional races, the event featured C1's signature Celebrity Charity race with Mr. Jet Li as the team leader and a team of artists raced in Ford Focus racing cars to raise money for 2008's Wenchuan earthquake victims. The event successfully combined entertainment and charity with professional races. Chengdu race fans enjoyed a splendid weekend in C1 event. ¡°I am very happy to see that C1 was voted to be the best race event of the year. The award is no doubt a recognition of our C1 team's hard work during the past six years and I appreciate all the support that FRD received from the race fans, partners, teams, drivers and media friends.¡± said FRD's president Kenneth Ma. FRD will continue the pleasant working relationship formed with ¡®One Foundation' in 2010 and keep bringing exciting shows to C1 events. ¡°We will strengthen the existing partnerships with our friends and open more opportunity to those who have interest in C1.¡± added Kenneth Ma.
