The China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) Race 4 is traveling back to Chengdu International Circuit (CDIC) this weekend (31st July-1st Aug).
Based on the data and experience gained from R3 Chengdu race, the technical team of the Changan Ford racing team has confirmed that further set-up enhancements have been developed and the four drivers will proceed with the verification test as soon as they arrive at CDIC Thursday.
John Ling, team manager of Changan Ford racing team, indicated: ¡°Our four drivers always try to maintain their peak forms whether or not they are racing. With the technical enhancements and our experience with the track, we are very optimistic about this week. We are targeting all four drivers to finish the race with the fastest lap time and capture the double champion again.
Martin Cao, the youngest driver of Changan Ford Racing team and the winner of the Chengdu round 3 last month said: "Although I am very familiar with the track but it will be a great challenge to race with a burden of 100kg compensation weight. I believe our technical team is capable of minimizing the unfavorable impact of this extra weight on our cars and I hope we can keep on winning."
