Intercontinental Le Mans Cup – 1 000 km Race of Zhuhai was successfully concluded in ZIC at local time 17:35, Nov.07. Hope Pole v ision Racing Team took first place of the Formula Le Mans C lass and was also classified ninth position for the complete field . Shan Qi Zhang, who drove for the HP Racing Team car is the first mainland Chinese driver in ILMC history.

“AFR was my first try on formula,” explained the Chinese driver Shan Qi Zhang after the press conference who was a former driver of the AFR Series, “It was in 2008, I took part in the last race with a less than perfect performance and, in the year after, I ran four AFR rounds grabbing two firsts and two thirds. AFR Series does provide a good opportunity for young drivers to show themselves and gather experience.”

The 19-year-old fellow left a deep impression on us in this race. He indicated that he will keep on improving himself to prepare himself making a challenge in European series in the future.

The last race of 2010 AFR Series will be on December 11-12 in Zhuhai International Circuit.
