The 57th Grand Prix Macau (GPM) was successfully concluded on November 21st. The GPM is a motor-racing event held annually in Macau, one of China's Special Administrative Regions. It is known for being the only street circuit racing event in which both car and motorcycle races are held. Every year in November hundreds of racing drivers and riders compete in different categories of motor-racing, including single-seaters, touring cars and motorbikes. The Guia Circuit as the venue of Macau Grand Prix is famously known as one of the most demanding circuits in the world which consists of fast straights, tight corners and uncompromising crash barriers.
Kenneth Ma, president of FRD and Diana Rosario, the female driver from Macau,? represented FRD to compete in the Macau GT competition. Andy Yan, the driver from Changan Ford racing team, participated in the CTM Touring car race.
Kenneth Ma was classified 11th overall out of 35 entries and 2nd in the same displacement engine cars. Diana Rosario, as the only female driver of GT Cup Race and her first try of the Macau circuit, had to learn the circuit quickly with only one practice session. She finished the race ranked 22nd overall but she made so much improvement lap after lap that her fastest lap time is almost eight seconds faster than her qualifying time.
Andy Yan qualified fourth for the CTM Macau Touring Car Race and eventually finished third with a 2 sec difference from the leader. After this race, he will again turn his focus driving for the Changan Ford Race Team for the final CTCC race on December 4-5 in Guangdong International Circuit (GIC). Let¡¯s wish him another great performance.?
