The clock is ticking for the last race of the 2011 Clio Cup China Series as this weekend, the competitors will hit the track for the last two rounds of the season and the 2011 Champion will be crowned after the Sunday race.

According to the weather forecast, it will be a cold weekend in Zhuhai and it might cause some additional issues for the set-up of the cars. To further complicate the case, the drivers will not be able to start practicing until Friday due to circuit scheduling. So finding a good set up quickly and finding more grip could be the main points for achieving good result this weekend.
After eight rounds, UK driver Steve Elmes is still having a 15-point lead over Oliver Lee who, in turn has a 36 points advantage over Aaron Kwok who will not be able to attend this race due to schedule conflict. So the pressure is on Steve and Oliver to run two good races and take home the 2011 Champion title.

Mathematically speaking, Frank Yu is already out of the running of the title race but he is expected to have a good weekend in ZIC. He is very familiar with the ZIC circuit and he scored the two fastest times in the first race of this season in Zhuhai. Another driver that we should pay attention to is the 17-year-old Shaun Thong from Malaysia. He is making ongoing progress throughout this season and he even won the 2 fastest lap bonus points in last round in SIC. Although he has very little chance to get in the season top three, we all believe that he will do much better in 2012 season.
Maintaining the double qualifying session format, the drivers will be extremely busy trying to run the Q1, Q2 and Race 1 on Saturday. R2 will happen on 1.15pm Sunday afternoon.
