During a sun-drenched afternoon qualifying session on 10th Dec, the Renault Megane Trophy dominated qualifying at Zhuhai International Circuit for the 2011 Circuit Hero 500km Endurance Race. Kenneth Ma and Frank Yu set the pole time of 1:44.682 during the 20 minute qualifying session.

The team worked hard at the Zhuhai track since last Tuesday to prepare for the race and to validate the most recent technical adjustments affecting, among others, the brake, transmission and suspension anticipating some stiff competitions coming from excellent drivers and vehicles that process good Power/weight ratios such as Atom, Ginetta, Ariel, and Caterham Super 7.

After taking the pole position, Frank Yu commented: “This was the first time for the Megane Trophy to attend a endurance race here in China and we do have a lot to adjust for this race. We continued to improve our time lap after lap and when we realized we had the pole with a race set up, it was not necessary for us to continue pushing. “
